A Healthy Cup of Tea
What Tea Can Do For You - By Lisa Moses
With New Years right around the corner and resolutions just begging to be made, you can’t go wrong with a resolution to drink more tea.
Black, white, or green tea - they all have fantastic polyphenols, which are antioxidants that have the power to increase our health at the cellular level.
Tea, green tea in particular, has been shown to be helpful for:
· Reducing cholesterol
· Fighting cancer
· Treating inflammatory bowel disease
· Diabetes
· Liver disease
· Weight loss
· Preventing neurodegenerative diseases
· Hardening of the arteries
· Bad breath
Tea has also been shown to have a direct effect on our stress hormones. Imagine that, one or two cups of tea a day and you’ll be feeling better mentally and physically. That sounds like the perfect New Year’s resolution.
How do you find a tea worthy of your New Year’s resolution?
Not all teas are created equal. Teas found on your supermarket shelf can be old, treated with chemicals, and not picked at the optimal times. Teas, like fine wine, need to be grown in the right environment and picked at just the right time. Few teas meet these standards. Tea of Life Organic and Eden Grove are both excellent teas that will make your New Years Resolution feel like stepping into the lap of luxury.
Of course no tea resolution can go without the proper tea accessories including tea pot for brewing or automatic tea maker to make tea brewing the perfect cup of tea easy and guaranteed.
